When Carrie Buddingh attended Naperville Central High School , she carried on a family tradition, started by older brother, David. She enrolled in a class titled, American Problems and the Law, which culminated in a mock trial, where students honed their skills as lawyers. That taste of the law inspired her to consider a career as an attorney. She majored in political science at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, where she was involved in several political organizations and became the Iowa delegate to a national conference. Upon graduating from college, she enrolled at The John Marshall Law School in Chicago , where she was a member of the Women's Law Caucus.
In addition to political science, Carrie was also keenly interested in business. Her college minor was business administration and while on breaks during college, she worked as a project coordinator for her parents' strategic marketing firm, Buddingh & Associates, Inc. She researched and analyzed market trends for several clients, including a local school district, where she presented the results of a community survey to the school board.
At The Gierach Law Firm, she worked as a law clerk while attending law school and subsequently was hired as an associate when she received her juris doctor degree. Today, her skill as an attorney and expertise in business makes her a perfect fit for the firm, which specializes in business and estate planning.
