Tamara Paulun

Tamara has moved out of the area to be near her family and is no longer with the firm.

Tamara graduated with honors from The John Marshall Law School in 2007, having also been a member of The John Marshall Law Review. She attended Hillsdale College in Michigan, where she majored in Economics and History and minored in German. She graduated cum laude from Hillsdale College in 2004. She also studied in Cologne, Germany.

Prior to joining The Gierach Law Firm, Tamara practiced in Chicago, Illinois, where she focused her practice in the fields of Creditors’ Rights, Commercial Litigation, Mechanics Liens, and Post-Judgement Enforcement. She also has experience in defense litigation.

At The Gierach Law Firm, Tamara works with clients to understand their unique estate planning and end-of-life goals.  She creates customized, comprehensive estate plans to achieve her clients’ objectives, while avoiding probate and minimizing taxes.  This process includes preparing wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.  Tamara also provides direction in probate and trust administration matters and successfully represents clients in probate litigation. She approaches each situation with the goal of preserving family harmony, both during the planning process and beyond.

Tamara has been a member of the Illinois Bar since 2007 and a member of the US District Court, Norther District of Illinois Bar since 2008. She became a member of the United States Tax Court in 2014.  Tamara has served on the Executive Committee of the Alliance for Women, through the Chicago Bar Association, and was on the planning committee for the Greater South Loop Association. She was previously President of the Downtown Chicago chapter of Business and Professional Woman (BPA). Tamara is a member of the DuPage County Bar Association.
